Minutes
| RETIRED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION CHAPTER 25 January 16, 2007 |
Called to order at 10:30 a.m. by President James Spaulding
at the Long Beach Marriott Hotel, 4300 Airport Plaza Drive;
Long Beach, California with 32 in attendance. The pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag was led by the President.
Allegiance to the Flag was led by the President.
The minutes of the October 31, 2006 minutes were
approved as printed in the Newsletter.
No treasurer’s report. The President thanked Norma Fair
for accepting the Vice-President and Treasurer positions.
He also thanked Josephine Metoyer for taking over the
50/50 raffle.
The President is committed to keeping the Chapter 25
Newsletter as informative as possible. A suggestion was
made to include a memoriam re the death of chapter
officers.
A discussion centered on the HR-4 Bill.
The President introduced the guest speaker, Joanna
Morales, Esq., Director of the Cancer Legal Resource
Center. She provided a very informative overview of CLRC,
expanded on the drug program, followed by questions and
answers.
The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
