| RETIRED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION CHAPTER 25 April 24, 2007 |
The April 24, 2007 meeting of RPEA Chapter 25 was called
to order at 10:30 a.m. by President James Spaulding at the
Long Beach Marriott Hotel, 4300 Airport Plaza Drive, Long
Beach, California. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was
led by the President.
The minutes of the January 16, 2007 meeting were
approved as printed in the Newsletter.
The president and treasurer have started a budget ledger
to register chapter income and expenditures. A sample of
the ledger was shown to all by the president. President
Spaulding reported the current budget balance which was
approved.
Discussion on the number of eligible retirees not currently
Retired Public Employees Association (RPEA) members and
methods of recruitment.
Guest speaker Harvey Robinson, RPEA Director of Health
Benefits, addressed pertinent member health benefits
including long-term care concerns.
VSP – RPEA Group Vision Care Plan discussed.
President Spaulding extended an invitation to all non-RPEA
members present to join.
City of Carson’s Health Fair 2007, Sat., April 28, 2007,
Carson Community Center.
